USC just scored another major win on the recruiting trail.
ESPN Jr. 300 four-star running back Deshonne Redeaux has officially committed to the Trojans, becoming the latest blue-chip prospect to stay home and help build something special in Los Angeles. Redeaux, a dynamic playmaker out of Inglewood (CA), made his announcement Saturday afternoon, citing the program’s energy and local connection as key factors in his decision.
“They’re keeping so many hometown kids home,” Redeaux said in his commitment post, nodding to USC’s red-hot recruiting surge and renewed focus on California talent.
With Redeaux in the fold, USC now boasts a nation-leading 11 commits from the ESPN Jr. 300 in their 2026 class—a group that’s quickly shaping up to be one of the most dominant in the country. The Trojans are loading up on both sides of the ball, and doing it largely with West Coast stars who are choosing to stay close to home.
Lincoln Riley and his staff have clearly made the local pipeline a priority—and so far, it’s paying off in a big way.
