A league spokesperson stated that the NFL will investigate claims that Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker engaged in inappropriate behavior toward massage therapists at four spas and wellness centers in the Baltimore area.
The Baltimore Banner published a detailed report on Thursday outlining the allegations. The newspaper interviewed six massage therapists who shared their firsthand experiences with Tucker from 2012 to 2016.
Multiple therapists reported cutting Tucker’s sessions short or declining to work with him again, while managers at two spas stated they barred him from returning.
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in a statement that the league first learned about the allegations through the reporter investigating the story, as they had not been previously disclosed to the NFL. He emphasized that the league takes all allegations seriously and will investigate the matter.
According to the Baltimore Banner, Tucker is accused of exposing himself, making contact with two therapists using his exposed genitals, and leaving what they suspected to be semen on the massage table after three sessions.
In response, Tucker issued a statement on social media, firmly denying the allegations and calling them “unequivocally false.”
Tucker criticized the article, stating that it distorts harmless or ambiguous interactions beyond recognition and presents vague insinuations as fact.
The 35-year-old kicker has spent all 13 of his NFL seasons with the Ravens, earning widespread recognition both in Baltimore and across the league. His 66-yard field goal in 2021 remains the longest successful kick in NFL history.
In 2022, Tucker signed a four-year contract extension worth $17.5 million guaranteed, keeping him with the team through 2027.
A Ravens spokesperson acknowledged the report and Tucker’s response, emphasizing that the organization takes such allegations seriously and will continue to monitor the situation.
