Bad day for Johnny Manziel and his mother as they were arrested in Texas adding to their legal battles.

Johnny Manziel’s mother, Michelle Manziel, was arrested for DUI on Saturday night in Kerrville, Texas, adding to the family’s legal troubles.

Michelle Manziel was released after posting a $7,500 bond, though details of her arrest remain unclear.

Johnny Manziel, who attended Tivy High School in Kerrville before enrolling at Texas A&M in 2011, was arrested in 2012 in College Station on three misdemeanor charges stemming from a late-night fight, ultimately pleading guilty to a failure to produce identification while having the disorderly conduct and possession of a fictitious driver’s license charges dropped.

During his brief NFL stint with the Cleveland Browns—drafted 22nd overall in 2014—Johnny Manziel faced off-field issues, including an assault charge from his ex-girlfriend that was settled through a plea agreement involving counseling and monitoring, and after a two-season career, he has been open about his substance abuse struggles.
