In a surprising AFC South move, the Jacksonville Jaguars are trading wide receiver Christian Kirk to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2026 seventh-round pick, originally owned by the Los Angeles Rams. Rather than releasing Kirk outright, Jacksonville opted to secure a late-round asset while Houston adds another weapon for quarterback C.J. Stroud. Kirk, who signed a four-year, $72 million deal with the Jaguars in 2022, has been a reliable playmaker, recording over 1,000 yards in his first season with the team before injuries limited him in 2023. Now, he joins a rising Texans squad looking to build on last season’s success with an already dynamic receiving corps featuring Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and tight end Dalton Schultz.
