A major highlight is its overhauled home-field advantage system, featuring 2,800 new plays and 45 fresh formations. In-game, real college head coaches Alabama’s Ryan Williams and Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith will be visible on the sidelines for standard editions, while the deluxe version includes additional coaches, current players, and legends gracing its cover.
EA Sports also announced new gameplay features for College Football 26, including custom defensive zones and the addition of stunts and twists. A standout new mechanic is the “Out of Body” experience, where players on a hot streak receive major boosts. Platinum-tier abilities can upgrade to a new, powerful Heisman tier, offering enhanced effects and functions based on fan feedback.

EA revealed last fall that College Football 25 was the biggest new console game launch in North America for 2024, attracting 6.5 million unique players. With that success, EA generated over $400 million in sales, signaling massive demand and a strong future for the revived franchise.
