During South Carolina’s Week 2 clash with SC State, the program revealed details for next week’s SEC opener. The Gamecocks will host Vanderbilt in Columbia on Sept. 13, with kickoff set for 7:45 p.m. on SEC Network and streaming on ESPN.
Both teams enter the Week 3 matchup at 1-0 on the season, setting the stage for an early conference test. With it marking the first SEC showdown of the year for either program, the prime-time spotlight at Williams-Brice Stadium adds another layer of anticipation.
Earlier this offseason, the SEC released select kickoff times but left most of South Carolina’s schedule with flexible “broadcast windows.” For the Vanderbilt matchup, the options were 7:00 p.m. or 7:45 p.m., with the league ultimately choosing the later start.
With Vanderbilt’s kickoff time finalized, South Carolina now has two games locked in on its schedule. The regular-season finale against Clemson is set for noon in Columbia, while start times for the rest of the slate will be revealed later.
