As of now, there are no credible reports indicating that Florida Gators men’s basketball head coach Todd Golden has been arrested for sexual assault following the team’s recent SEC Tournament victory. However, Golden was previously the subject of a Title IX investigation initiated on September 27, 2024, involving allegations of sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, stalking, and cyberstalking from multiple women, including students.
After a thorough four-month investigation, the University of Florida found no evidence to support these allegations and closed the case in January 2025. University spokesperson Steve Orlando stated, “After a thorough investigation that included dozens of interviews over the past months, the University of Florida has found no evidence that Todd Golden violated Title IX.”
Golden acknowledged the investigation and expressed gratitude toward the university and fans for their support during the process. He noted that the past several months had been challenging for his family and him while the process unfolded.
It’s important to note that during this period, an assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of Florida, Taurean Green, was accused of sexual assault in a separate Title IX case. A university athletics department employee filed a complaint alleging that Green made unwanted sexual advances in March 2024.
As of now, there is no information indicating that Todd Golden has been arrested for sexual assault. The prior investigation concluded with no evidence found against him, and he continues to serve as the head coach of the Florida Gators men’s basketball team.
