Following two commanding victories and securing the SEC regular season title, Auburn men’s basketball remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation.
The Tigers earned the top spot after a 30-point home win against Ole Miss and a 16-point road victory over Kentucky, marking their first win at Rupp Arena since 1988. Auburn has now held the No. 1 ranking in the AP Top 25 for eight consecutive weeks.
Duke, Houston, Tennessee, and Florida complete the AP poll’s top five, with three of those teams representing the SEC. In total, eight SEC teams rank in the top 25, the most of any conference.
Auburn wraps up the regular season this week with two more ranked matchups, visiting No. 22 Texas A&M on Tuesday night before hosting No. 7 Alabama on Saturday. The game against the Aggies is set for 8 p.m. and will air on ESPN.
