As of February 28, 2025, Class of 2026 offensive lineman Bear McWhorter has announced his commitment to the University of Michigan. McWhorter, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound prospect from Cass High School in Georgia, had previously de-committed from Arkansas in June 2024 to explore other opportunities.
In early February 2025, McWhorter narrowed his choices to five schools: Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Clemson, and South Carolina, setting his commitment date for February 28.
His decision to join the Wolverines adds significant strength to Michigan’s offensive line prospects for the 2026 class.
McWhorter is known for his impressive strength, boasting a 350-pound bench press, a 305-pound power clean, and a 475-pound squat. His on-field performance in the 2024 season included 107 combined pancakes and knockdowns, showcasing his dominance in the trenches.
This commitment reflects Michigan’s continued success in recruiting top offensive line talent under head coach Sherrone Moore.
