BREAKING: Class of 2026 OT Tucker Smith Commits to Ohio State
Ohio State has landed a major addition to its 2026 recruiting class as four-star offensive tackle Tucker Smith announced his commitment to the Buckeyes. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound lineman out of Phoenix, Arizona chose Ohio State over Kansas State, Arizona State, and Minnesota.
Smith, known for his combination of size, athleticism, and physicality in the trenches, made his decision public with a simple but powerful statement: “God gave me this and put me there.”
Ohio State has been prioritizing offensive line talent in the 2026 cycle, and Smith’s commitment adds another key piece to the Buckeyes’ future. With his length, footwork, and ability to dominate in both pass protection and the run game, he projects as a potential impact player at the next level.
This is a big recruiting win for Ryan Day and offensive line coach Justin Frye, as they continue to build one of the nation’s top classes.
