Wentz expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with such exceptional players, calling them “some of the best in the world.” Although the season ended in disappointment, Wentz cherished the memories and relationships formed during the year.
Carson Wentz joined the Kansas City Chiefs in 2024, marking his first season with the team. Since being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016, Wentz has had a nomadic career, playing for several teams including the Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders, and Los Angeles Rams. In his inaugural season with the Chiefs, Wentz saw limited action, playing in three games and accumulating 118 yards with a 63.2 completion percentage.
The Kansas City Chiefs were considered strong favorites to win Super Bowl LIX heading into the playoffs. They boasted an impressive 15-2 regular season record, securing the top spot in the AFC standings. The Chiefs ultimately finished the season with a 17-3 record, which included playoff wins over the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills.
