Dolphins Cut Pro Bowl Star

Just a year after leading the NFL in touchdowns and earning a Pro Bowl nod, Raheem Mostert is reportedly being released by the Miami Dolphins. On Friday, his agent Brett Tessler announced that the team plans to cut Mostert, thanking the Dolphins for his time and noting that this move allows them to get younger while giving Mostert a chance to compete for a ring elsewhere.

Despite his dominance in 2023, when he led the league with 19 rushing touchdowns and 21 total scores, Mostert saw a reduced role in 2024 behind rising star De’Von Achane. He appeared in 13 games but started just once, finishing with 278 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and 19 receptions for 161 yards. Now 32, Mostert is set to become a free agent and will likely finish his career with another team, while the Dolphins move forward with Achane as their lead back.
