In a landmark achievement for collegiate music, the Global Marching Arts Association (GMAA) has named the University of Alabama’s Crimson Marching Band the number one college marching band in the world. The announcement, delivered during the live broadcast of the GMAA World Showcase Finals, marked a historic victory not only for Alabama but also for the broader tradition of American college bands.
Competing against top-tier international ensembles, Alabama outshined renowned groups like the Tokyo Imperial Marching Ensemble, São Paulo Vanguard, and the Berlin Sound Collective.
