The University of Georgia has suspended offensive lineman Marques Easley and wide receiver Nitro Tuggle indefinitely from all team activities. The suspensions follow separate driving-related incidents involving the two players.
Marques Easley, a redshirt freshman from Peoria, Illinois, was involved in a car crash on Monday in Watkinsville, Georgia. According to reports, Easley’s vehicle lost control, left the roadway, and struck a power distribution box before colliding with two other parked cars. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Nitro Tuggle, a sophomore from Goshen, Indiana, was arrested early Thursday morning on charges of reckless driving and speeding. He was released on a $26 bond.
These incidents are part of a concerning pattern of driving-related offenses within the Georgia football program in recent years. Head coach Kirby Smart has previously addressed this issue, emphasizing the importance of discipline and the consequences of repeated poor decisions.
The Bulldogs are currently in the midst of spring practice, preparing for their season opener against Marshall on August 30.
