Good morning and Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads in Big Blue Nation! Hopefully, your dad enjoyed that multi-colored tie you picked out those tiny golf clubs were a nice touch this year. Now, make sure he’s kicked back on the couch this afternoon with the U.S. Open on TV. He’s earned it.

As for Kentucky head coach Mark Pope, his Father’s Day festivities are on hold for now. On Saturday, Pope was in Colorado Springs alongside two of his incoming Wildcats freshmen Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno for the 2025 USA Basketball Men’s U19 Training Camp. Hosted at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center, the camp runs from June 14 to June 22 and features 32 of the nation’s top young players, though only 12 will make the final roster. Pope, serving as an assistant coach, is not only working closely with his own players but also using the opportunity to connect with elite high school prospects in attendance.

KSR’s Jack Pilgrim is on the ground in Colorado Springs and will be delivering updates throughout the day and the remainder of his time at the USA Basketball U19 Training Camp. Expect plenty of behind-the-scenes insights and recruiting tidbits over on KSBoard as the action unfolds.

And while you’re at it, don’t forget to send Jack a few Happy Father’s Day wishes as well he’s putting in the work even on the holiday!
