The Alabama Crimson Tide baseball team has achieved notable winning streaks at the start of several seasons. In 1919, they began the season with a 9–0 record before their first loss.
In 1983, they started with a 5–0 record before their first defeat.
More recently, in 2010, they matched the school record by winning 16 of their first 17 games.
Therefore, a 16–0 start would indeed mark the longest winning streak to begin a season in the program’s history.
