DeVonta Smith is an American professional football wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, where he recorded over 1,800 yards with 23 touchdowns as a senior in 2020. Smith’s dominant season earned him the Heisman Trophy, making him the first wide receiver to win the award since Desmond Howard in 1991 and only the fourth receiver in history to do so. In addition to the Heisman, Smith received numerous other accolades and helped lead Alabama to two national championships before being selected tenth overall by the Eagles in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Now in his fourth season with Philadelphia, Smith reached the pinnacle of professional football by winning Super Bowl LIX. With this achievement, he became just the fifth player in history to win a Super Bowl, a college national title, and the Heisman Trophy.
As he continues to make an impact in the NFL, Smith is set to visit Alabama’s spring practice in Atlanta, reconnecting with the program where he became a college football legend.
