Kentucky continued its dominant SEC run, completing another series sweep with a convincing victory over Ole Miss. The Wildcats showcased balanced pitching and timely hitting to control the matchup from start to finish, extending their conference momentum and strengthening their position as one of the league’s top contenders.

Kentucky volleyball continued its hot start to SEC play with a commanding 3-0 sweep over Ole Miss on Friday night in Oxford, improving to 3-0 in conference action. The Wildcats dominated from start to finish, winning 25-18, 25-21, and 25-19.

UK’s offense was electric, hitting an impressive .393 as a team while never surrendering the lead in any set. Eva Hudson and Brooklyn DeLeye powered the attack with double-digit kills apiece, while Molly Tuozzo anchored the defense, recording 14 digs to help limit Ole Miss to a .220 hitting percentage.

The Wildcats set the tone early in the opening frame, jumping ahead 11-5 behind crisp assists from Kassie O’Brien. Hudson’s heavy hitting and key blocks helped Kentucky close out the first set with a decisive 25-18 victory, forcing the Rebels to burn an early timeout.

With this sweep, Kentucky further solidified its position as a top contender in the SEC. The team’s balanced attack and defensive consistency showed once again that they are a force to be reckoned with as the season progresses.

The second set mirrored the first, with Kentucky jumping out to a quick 6-2 lead over Ole Miss. Eva Hudson and Brooklyn DeLeye continued to dominate at the net, extending the advantage to 11-5 and prompting another Rebel timeout.

Ole Miss briefly clawed back with a 3-0 run, but the Wildcats responded with authority. Brooke Bultema halted the Rebels’ momentum with a thunderous kill, helping Kentucky regain control and close out the frame 25-21 to go up 2-0 in the match.

Kentucky maintained its relentless pace in the third set, with Brooklyn DeLeye and Eva Hudson combining for key finishes that built a 14-7 lead. Elise Carr’s emphatic slide attack forced Ole Miss to use its final timeout, but the Wildcats stayed composed.

Though the Rebels trimmed the deficit to five, Kentucky’s depth and precision proved too much, sealing a 25-19 set victory to complete the sweep. The Wildcats’ balanced offense and stifling net defense kept Ole Miss from mounting any serious rally.

The victory marked Kentucky’s third straight sweep in SEC play, underscoring the team’s growing dominance. Now 3-0 in conference action, the Wildcats will face a tougher challenge Wednesday on the road against No. 9 Texas A&M at 7:00 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
