After signing the extension, he emphasized that serving as the Minnesota Vikings’ head coach is “something I never take for granted.”
“I am truly grateful to the Wilf Family Ownership Group for their steadfast belief in our vision,” O’Connell said. “This wouldn’t be possible without the commitment of our coaches, players, and support staff. I’m excited to get back to work with them as we continue to uphold our high standards and build on the positive culture we’ve created.”
