The Texas Longhorns women’s basketball team has made headlines with three of its standout players – Madison Booker, Rori Harmon, and Taylor Jones – earning All-American honors.
For Booker, this marks the second straight year she has earned All-American honors. She ranks second on the team in rebounding and has seven double-doubles on the season. Booker has been incredibly efficient with the ball in her hands, shooting 45.9 percent from the field. Against ranked opponents, Booker is averaging 20.5 points per game.
Rori Harmon has also earned All-American honors for the third time in her Longhorns career. As a talented point guard, she’s a semifinalist for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Award. This season, Harmon made history by becoming the first Texas women’s basketball player to reach 1,200 career points.
Completing the impressive trio is Taylor Jones, who has earned her first-ever All-American honors. As a dominant force at center, Jones has scored in double figures in 22 games. She’s also been a standout on the boards, grabbing an impressive 1,065 rebounds throughout her college career.
As Texas looks to make a deep March Madness run, they will need their stars to build on their success. With Booker, Harmon, and Jones leading the way, they are in good hands and will be one of the toughest teams to face in the tournament.
