LSU guard Flau’jae Johnson has chosen not to enter the 2025 WNBA Draft, according to a report from The Athletic’s Sabreena Merchant on Thursday. As a result, she is expected to return to the Tigers for her final season of eligibility.
Following LSU’s Elite Eight loss to UCLA, Johnson had until Tuesday to declare for the draft. While the general WNBA Draft deadline was March 31, players still active in the NCAA Tournament were given an additional 48 hours after their last game to make a decision. However, as of Thursday, Johnson had not made any announcement regarding a draft declaration.
Johnson recently finished her junior season but was eligible to enter the WNBA Draft since she turns 22 in 2025. By choosing to return to LSU, she will remain a key leader for the Tigers as they aim for another deep postseason run, following consecutive Elite Eight appearances and their 2023 national championship.
