LSU football staff member charged with felony strangulation

LSU football analyst Antonio Parks has been charged with felony strangulation following an alleged incident in December 2024. Reports indicate that Parks assaulted a woman after she declined to remove a video titled “A Day in the Life of a Stay at Home Girlfriend” from social media. The woman alleged that Parks pushed her onto a bed and strangled her for 30 to 60 seconds. She documented her injuries with photographs taken on December 17, 2024.

Parks was arrested on March 2, 2025, and released under certain conditions on March 5, 2025. He maintains his innocence, stating, “I maintain my innocence, and I know the truth.”  LSU is aware of the situation and is working through the appropriate channels but has not provided further comments.

Before joining LSU’s staff in February 2025, Parks served as an offensive analyst at the University of Oregon for two years. He also held positions at Arizona State University and the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) as a defensive analyst. As a player, Parks was a defensive back at UTSA, starting all 14 games in 2021 and contributing to the team’s historic 12-win season.
