LSU sophomore Mikaylah Williams has been named the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes (CCACSA) Student-Athlete of the Month for April 2025, recognizing her outstanding achievements both on the basketball court and in the classroom.
As a psychology major, Williams has demonstrated significant academic improvement over the past two semesters. Her dedication is evident in her impressive 3.740 GPA this semester, reflecting her commitment to excellence in her studies. Carole Walker, Senior Associate Director at CCACSA, highlighted Williams’s exemplary work ethic, noting her ability to balance the demands of a rigorous academic schedule with the responsibilities of a high-level athlete.
On the basketball court, Williams has been a pivotal player for the LSU Tigers. Earlier this year, she was named to the USBWA’s Starting Five of the Week after consecutive games scoring over 20 points, contributing significantly to LSU’s undefeated streak at that time.
Her athletic prowess complements her academic achievements, embodying the true spirit of a student-athlete.
Williams’s recognition by CCACSA underscores her holistic development and serves as an inspiration to fellow student-athletes striving for excellence in all facets of their collegiate experience.
