During Super Bowl LIX, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was visibly emotional, shedding “happy tears” as his defense sacked Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes six times in their 40-22 victory.
The Philadelphia Eagles dominated Super Bowl LIX on Sunday night, delivering a commanding 40-22 victory over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans. Philadelphia’s relentless defense stole the show, sacking Mahomes six times and holding him to just 33 passing yards in the first half.
No one enjoyed it more than Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni. Known for his passionate sideline presence, the 43-year-old didn’t hold back, and NFL Films captured his fired-up reactions to several of his team’s key sacks.
Unlike some coaches who remain composed, Sirianni was visibly fired up, shouting, “THAT’S TWO! THAT’S TWO! THAT’S TWO!” after the second sack. Later, he enthusiastically held up five fingers, emphasizing, “That’s five, that’s five sacks.”
