Not long ago, Texas A&M’s celebrated quarterback, Johnny Manziel, stunned the college football world by winning the Heisman Trophy as a freshman, although his remarkable achievements came with significant drawbacks.
Throughout his college career and a brief stint in the NFL, Manziel’s off-field troubles—including battles with substance abuse—overshadowed his athletic success, and now a family member is embroiled in legal issues as well.
On Saturday night, his mother, Michelle Manziel, was taken into custody.
Reports indicate that the arrest took place in Kerrville, Texas—a town located roughly 65 miles northwest of San Antonio.
TMZ released a mugshot of Michelle that shows her with a noticeably shocked expression, and although she was initially held on a $7,500 bail, it appears that the amount was posted, leading to her release; local authorities have yet to provide further information.
Her arrest image, highlighting a startled look, is now rapidly circulating across social media platforms.
