Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently facing serious legal challenges, including charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. His legal team has filed a motion to dismiss the charge related to the Mann Act of 1910, arguing that the law has historically been used to target Black men and that Combs is being “singled out because he is a powerful black man.”
In a related development, Anthony Ricco, one of Combs’ attorneys, has filed a motion to withdraw from the defense team, stating, “Under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs.” Ricco emphasized that his withdrawal should not delay the trial, which is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
