Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has accepted a role as an assistant general manager for the basketball programs at his alma mater, Davidson College. This unprecedented move makes Curry the first active player in major U.S. professional sports to assume an administrative position with an NCAA team.
Curry’s connection to Davidson is profound; he led the Wildcats to the Elite Eight in the 2008 NCAA Tournament and remains the school’s all-time leading scorer. In August 2022, Davidson honored him by retiring his No. 30 jersey and inducting him into their Athletics Hall of Fame.
