Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks is reportedly making faster-than-expected progress in his recovery from a torn ACL, and his improved health may open the door for potential trade discussions. Once viewed as a key piece of the franchise’s future, Burks was drafted with the pick acquired in the controversial A.J. Brown trade. As a rookie, he flashed potential by notching 33 catches for 444 yards and a touchdown in just 11 games.
However, Burks struggled to build on that early promise. In 2023, his production dipped to just 16 receptions, and by 2024, he had become nearly invisible in the offense, managing only four catches for 34 yards across five games. With his stock at a crossroads, the Titans may now explore moving him while his health and recovery trend upward.

The Titans chose not to pick up Treylon Burks’ fifth-year option heading into the season, a clear signal that his future with the team is uncertain. Though head coach Brian Callahan noted that Burks is ahead of schedule in his ACL recovery—reportedly about 80% back—there’s a growing chance he won’t suit up in a regular season game alongside rookie quarterback and No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward.
Burks appears to be an odd man out in Tennessee’s revamped receiving corps, which now features veterans Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett. Despite the mismatch in scheme and fit, another team could view Burks as a low-risk, high-reward project and take a chance on him with a late-round pick, hoping to unlock the potential that once made him a first-round selection.
