Traditionally, Kentucky football hasn’t made the state of Texas a major recruiting focus. Aside from a few exceptions over the years like quarterback Ryan Mossakowski or wideout TV Williams Lone Star State prospects have rarely been a pipeline for the Wildcats under Mark Stoops.

That trend is shifting in 2026. Ben Duncum becomes the third Texas native to commit to Kentucky this cycle, joining wide receiver Davis McCray and cornerback Isaiah McMillan, signaling a new and intentional recruiting push into the state.
