The Texas Longhorns have secured a commitment from top wide receiver Taz Williams, a highly sought-after recruit from Red Oak High School in Texas. Williams, renowned for his exceptional athleticism and playmaking abilities, had previously committed to Baylor University in July 2024 but has now officially announced his decision to join the Longhorns.
Standing at 6 feet and weighing 190 pounds, Williams has been a standout performer throughout his high school career. During his junior season, he amassed impressive statistics, including 80 receptions for 1,251 yards and 14 touchdowns, demonstrating his ability to dominate on the field.
The Longhorns’ offensive scheme, which emphasizes versatility and dynamic playmaking, aligns seamlessly with Williams’ skill set. Head Coach Steve Sarkisian and Wide Receivers Coach Chris Jackson played instrumental roles in showcasing how Williams could thrive within their system.
