Arch Manning quickly became one of the most recognizable names in college football after joining the Texas Longhorns in 2023. While he received offers from numerous top programs, his decision ultimately came down to Texas, Georgia, and Alabama.
In the end, Arch Manning chose Texas over Alabama and Georgia, citing coach Steve Sarkisian as a key factor in his decision.
“I can relate to [Sarkisian] because he’s younger,” Arch Manning told 247Sports in 2021. “It seems like we’re friends almost. I like him a lot. He’d be a cool guy to get to play for. Hopefully, he doesn’t get too many job offers and stays there. He’s a good guy. I really like everyone I’ve met and have enjoyed building relationships and meeting different guys.”
With Quinn Ewers declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, Arch Manning is set to take over as the starting quarterback for the Longhorns next season. This transition has only increased the excitement and attention surrounding him.
In a recent TikTok interview with Sprung, Arch Manning opened up about some challenges he’s faced on campus. When asked if things might be different at a smaller school, Manning admitted that he had to turn down a visit to Alabama because of the attention his popularity attracts.
