Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley is trending toward playing in Sunday’s matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, according to a Saturday night report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. His availability would provide a boost to Tennessee’s passing attack.
Ridley has been managing both knee and elbow injuries this season, which have limited his practice reps and left his game-day status uncertain. Despite these setbacks, the Titans remain optimistic about his chances to take the field.
Through four games, the former All-Pro wideout has recorded 141 receiving yards, ranking second on the team in that category. His presence would give quarterback Will Levis another reliable option in a key matchup against Arizona.
Calvin Ridley is currently in his second season with the Tennessee Titans, continuing to be a key contributor to their offense.
The former Alabama standout is now in his sixth year in the NFL, bringing valuable experience and playmaking ability to the Titans’ receiving corps.
Throughout his professional career, Ridley has played for three different teams beginning with the Atlanta Falcons, then the Jacksonville Jaguars, and now Tennessee showcasing his adaptability and talent across multiple organizations.
Led by rookie quarterback Cam Ward, the Titans have endured a difficult start to the season, sitting at 0-4 with each loss coming by an average margin of 17 points.
In addition to the on-field struggles, Tennessee is dealing with significant injury concerns. Eleven players appeared on Saturday’s injury report, including several key contributors on both sides of the ball.
Safety Mike Brown, offensive lineman Blake Hance, and wide receiver Bryce Oliver have all been ruled out, while defensive lineman James Lynch, running back Tyjae Spears, wide receiver Calvin Ridley, and safety Kevin Winston Jr. are listed as questionable. Veterans like running back Tony Pollard, defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, and guard Kevin Zeitler were also noted on the report.
