LAKEERS SLUMP CONTINUES: Magic Hand Lakers Devastating 118-106 Loss
In a shocking turn of events, the Los Angeles Lakers suffered their second consecutive loss, falling to the Orlando Magic 118-106. Despite having a fully healthy roster, the Lakers couldn’t recapture their February momentum.
Luka Doncic led the Lakers with an impressive 32 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. LeBron James added 24 points, six rebounds, and seven assists, while Austin Reaves contributed 18 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
However, the Magic’s dynamic duo of Franz Wagner (32 points, five rebounds, nine assists) and Paolo Banchero (30 points, seven rebounds) proved too much for the Lakers. Anthony Black added 17 points off the bench, and Wendell Carter Jr. chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Magic’s stifling defense successfully contained the Lakers’ supporting cast, limiting their non-big three players to underwhelming performances.
The loss leaves the Lakers just half a game ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 4 seed in the standings. Meanwhile, the Magic, with a 33-38 record, are clinging to the No. 8 seed in the East.
