The junior guard averaged 20.7 points per game, shot a scorching 50% from three (13-of-26), and contributed 4.7 assists and 2 steals per game, showcasing his all-around game on both ends of the floor.
His elite shot-making and clutch performances propelled Florida past top competition, earning him SEC Tournament MVP honors. Clayton’s ability to hit big shots, facilitate the offense, and bring defensive intensity was key in Florida’s 86-77 victory over Tennessee in the championship game.
With March Madness looming, Clayton’s hot streak could be the X-factor for the Gators as they make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. If he keeps playing at this level, Florida is going to be a tough out.
