Kadarius Toney’s girlfriend, Charnesia Lumpkin, alleged that he choked her while she was seven months pregnant. According to a 911 call audio obtained by TMZ Sports, Lumpkin told the dispatcher that Toney attacked her while she was holding their daughter . She also mentioned that she didn’t feel any contractions after the incident and didn’t require an ambulance.
The incident reportedly occurred on January 14 at a residence in Douglasville, Georgia. Lumpkin claimed that Toney put his hands around her neck and squeezed hard enough to make her unable to breathe . She also stated that Toney took her phone away to prevent her from calling 911.
Toney was arrested on February 6 and charged with aggravated assault-strangulation and obstructing/harassing a 911 call . He was released on bond the next day. The NFL is reportedly monitoring the situation.
