Alabama strengthened its 2026 recruiting class on Thursday night with a commitment from interior offensive lineman Chris Booker.
The 6-foot-4, 284-pound prospect announced his decision on social media, declaring his commitment to Tuscaloosa. In his post, he emphatically stated, “1000% committed, Recruitment shut down!”
Booker was a valuable pickup for Alabama, especially considering he hails from Atlanta’s Hapeville Charter School. The Crimson Tide secured his commitment despite competition from SEC rivals Kentucky and Mississippi State.
Booker becomes Alabama’s second commitment in the 2026 class and the first offensive lineman to pledge to the Crimson Tide. He joins cornerback Zyan Gibson from Gadsden, Ala., in the class.
“It is surreal,” Booker told Bama247 about his decision. “It’s a dream I worked for and got it done.”
His strong early connection with Alabama offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic played a significant role in his commitment, according to Bama247.
