The Texas Longhorns have appointed Sean Miller as their new men’s basketball head coach, succeeding Rodney Terry, who was dismissed following a 19–16 season and a First Four exit in the NCAA Tournament.
Miller, 56, brings a wealth of experience to Texas, having previously led both Xavier and Arizona. Over his coaching career, he has amassed a 487–196 record and secured 13 NCAA Tournament appearances.
His contract with Texas is reportedly valued at approximately $5 million annually.
Texas Athletic Director Chris Del Conte expressed confidence that Miller’s leadership will revitalize the program and align with the university’s high standards for success.
