The future of the Notre Dame–USC football rivalry remains uncertain, as USC AD Jennifer Cohen’s recent comments suggest the Trojans are considering ending the long-standing series.
When asked specifically about playing Notre Dame football every year, Cohen answered the right way: “It’s such an important series to our fans and both universities. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: In an ideal world, we’re going to keep playing each other.”
The Notre Dame–USC football rivalry could be in jeopardy, as Cohen hinted at the challenges of cross-country travel and the changing playoff landscape.
“Those to me are important unanswered questions.”
